GuideCan I create a gift wishlist for free?
Yes. Giftrilo is free to use, and you can create a gift wishlist without signing in. Start with a list name, then add gifts yourself, choose a template or ask AI for ideas. Google sign-in is optional. You pay for gifts directly at the shop you choose.
How do I share my wishlist with friends and family?
Choose Invite to list and send the invitation through WhatsApp, email, a copied link or your device’s sharing menu. For personal invitations, use More tools → People & sharing. Lists with a restricted view need personal invitations. Keep your private management link to yourself: anyone holding it can edit your list.
Can I keep my gift wishlist private?
Personal gift lists are not published in a searchable directory. Anyone with a valid invitation link can access the list according to its settings, so share invitations only with the people you want to invite. You can show participants all gifts or only those assigned to them; self-selection requires the full list.
Do my guests need an account to reserve a gift?
No. When self-selection is enabled, a new guest opens the invitation, chooses I’ll get this, enters a name and confirms the reservation. They receive a private personal link to return to their reservations. A returning participant whose access is recognised can reserve without entering their name again. If you assign gifts yourself, guests see their assignments instead.
Can I add gifts from different online stores?
Yes. Add a gift name and an optional link to any shop, so your wishlist can include ideas from different retailers. You can also add an idea without a shop link, such as a photo session or an experience. A maximum price is your budget, not a verified current shop price. Purchases take place outside Giftrilo.
How do gift reservations help prevent duplicate gifts?
A reservation shows that someone plans to buy a gift. Giftrilo prevents two people from reserving the same individual gift; group gifts allow several participants. A reservation is not a purchase confirmation, so mark the gift as purchased after buying it. The organiser can see assignments and reservations. For a surprise, ask someone other than the recipient to manage the list.
Can several people organise a group gift?
Yes. Enable Group gift on an item. With self-selection enabled, several guests can join it; you can also assign participants yourself. Agree outside Giftrilo who buys the gift, how much each person contributes and how to transfer the money. Giftrilo records participants but does not collect money or track contribution amounts.
How do I return to my wishlist later?
As the organiser, save your private management link somewhere safe. It lets you return on another device without signing in. You can also sign in with Google and save your own list to your account. As a guest, save your private personal link to return to your reservations; the shared group invitation does not restore your previous participant access.
